Cypress Grove Chevre, Inc. (“CYPRESS GROVE”) respects the privacy rights of its customers and visitors to the CYPRESS GROVE website located at www.cypressgrovechevre.com (the “Site”).   We have prepared this “Privacy Policy” so that you will know how and when we collect information that can specifically identify you (“Personal Information”), and how we use this information.   CYPRESS GROVE collects Personal Information from its customers and Site users and others through the means discussed in this Privacy Policy.   By participating in the activities described below and/or using the Site, you acknowledge that you have accepted the terms set forth in this Privacy Policy and the Terms and Conditions.

What is Personal Information?

Personal Information includes basic contact information (such as your name, e-mail address, address, telephone number), as well as other information necessary and related to providing you with products and services as may be requested by you (such as credit card information to process the payment of your purchase).  

How does CYPRESS GROVE Collect Personal Information?

Personal Information Not Collected Through the Site

CYPRESS GROVE collects Personal Information directly from you in connection with your requests to CYPRESS GROVE for information, products and services by means of email, telephone, facsimile and postal mail, as well as through the Site.   CYPRESS GROVE may also collect Personal Information from you that you provide with your voluntary submissions to us, such as recipes, comments and stories (“Submissions”).

Personal Information Collected Through the Site

CYPRESS GROVE collects Personal Information through the Site in two ways: automatic collection and direct collection.

Direct collection :   If you are interested in learning more about CYPRESS GROVE and our products and services, you can “opt-in” to be on our mailing list by submitting your email address to us in the designated mailing list subscription section of our Site.   When you purchase products from CYPRESS GROVE from our online store, we ask that you register with us on the Site.   When you register, we will ask you for registration and purchase information, including, your full name, company, if applicable, billing address, email address and telephone number, recipient's name, recipient's company (if applicable), shipping address, shipping method, credit card number, credit card expiration date, fax number, if any, additional information related to your order, and whether you would like to “opt-in” to be on our mailing list to receive information about CYPRESS GROVE and our products and services.   CYPRESS GROVE has arranged with third party service providers to provide you with a method of making on-line purchases by means of your credit card.   Upon your request, CYPRESS GROVE will provide you with the name and privacy policy of the current service providers so that you can learn of the service providers' privacy initiatives.   Also, when you make Submissions to CYPRESS GROVE on the Site, we will ask for your full name, email address and phone number, if you care to disclose such information as we describe in this Privacy Policy.  

How Does CYPRESS GROVE Use Personal Information?

General Uses

If you would like to “opt-out” of CYPRESS GROVE's use of your Personal Information to send you marketing and promotional communications, newsletters, emails and other related information and materials from CYPRESS GROVE, please follow the directions in the Section entitled “ How Do I Update My Personal Information and Privacy Preferences? ”.   Please note that by “opting-out” from our mailing list as described above, you may prohibit CYPRESS GROVE from informing you of offerings that may be of interest to you.  

Creation and Use of Aggregated Information

We may use your Personal Information and other information about or provided by you to create “Aggregated Information”.   Aggregated Information is created by aggregating or generating statistical data from Personal Information about groups of customers and Site users.   Aggregated Information also is anonymous data, because it cannot on its own be used to identify a particular individual.   We may use Aggregate Information for marketing, including sharing with our third party business associates and advisors, to better understand our customers and visitors to the Site, and to improve CYPRESS GROVE products and services.

Will My Personal Information Be Disclosed to Others?

CYPRESS GROVE takes steps to restrict access to the Personal Information that we collect from our customers and Site visitors, but may provide access as follows: (i) to parties authorized by CYPRESS GROVE to host, operate and maintain the Site and to provide to CYPRESS GROVE services as set forth in this Privacy Policy , the Terms and Conditions and any other applicable agreement between you and CYPRESS GROVE, or with your prior consent; (ii) to provide you with products and services; (iii) to protect the rights, property and safety of CYPRESS GROVE, its affiliates, business associates, customers and Site visitors or others; (iv) to parties engaged by CYPRESS GROVE to process information to fulfill purposes authorized by you (such as the processing of your credit card payment for purchases, shipping to you your purchases or sending to you other materials from CYPRESS GROVE); or (v) to relevant parties in the event of a bankruptcy, merger, acquisition, joint venture or other business transaction involving CYPRESS GROVE.

CYPRESS GROVE may also disclose Personal Information if required to do so by law, or if CYPRESS GROVE believes that such action is necessary to: (a) comply with the law or with a legal process such as a court order, subpoena, search warrant or a law enforcement request, or (b) protect against misuse or unauthorized use of the CYPRESS GROVE Site or other CYPRESS GROVE content.

Is My Personal Information Secure?

To reduce the risk of unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and help ensure correct usage of information, CYPRESS GROVE has engaged a third party to transmit your payment information by means of a 128-bit Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) Internet Protocol connection for processing.   All other Personal Information collected by CYPRESS GROVE is stored by CYPRESS GROVE on our password protected servers.   Nonetheless, CYPRESS GROVE does not guarantee the security, accuracy or completeness of any such procedures.   You should be aware that third parties might unlawfully intercept transmissions of Personal Information or misuse or abuse the Personal Information that is collected from you.

Please remember that you play a valuable part in security as well.   To register on our Site to make purchases in our Site store, you will be asked to create a user name and password.   Your password to access the Site should never be shared with anyone and should be changed frequently.   Each time you have used the Site, you should also log off and exit your browser in such a way so that no unauthorized persons can use the Site with your name and account information.   Regardless of the precautions taken by you and by CYPRESS GROVE, “perfect security” does not exist on the Internet.   CYPRESS GROVE cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us, and you transmit such information at your own risk.

Can Minors Use the Site?

You must be at least 18 years old to purchase products from our online store on this Site.   We encourage cheese lovers of all ages to use and enjoy our Site, and ask, if you are not at least 18 years old, that you obtain and indicate your parental or guardian consent before submitting any information to the Site.
