Creamery

Cypress Grove Chevre's creamery is in the small coastal town of Arcata, California, where the redwood forest meets the Pacific ocean.

The two large red barns flanking our main entrance were the original homes of the Cypress Grove Dairy which offered fresh milk to Humboldt County residents starting in the late 1800s. Our neighborhood is a mixture of residential and zoned agricultual lots in an area fondly referred to by locals as the Arcata Bottoms.

Our creamery was built to fit the historical agricultural landscape and to continue the great tradition of dairy in this part of Humboldt County. Cypress Groves grounds include a diverse group of trees and plants that are both native and delicious, including apples, blueberries and peaches.
